Senior Pipeline Engineer
We are looking for a pipeline expert to plan, design, implement and support monitoring and control systems utilized in the operation of liquids pipelines, measurement facilities, pump stations, and transfer facilities.
Design materials, structures, and systems while considering the limitations imposed by practicality, regulation, safety, and cost.Conduct feasibility studies, resource requirements both people and materials and setting standards for both operating and development activities.Responsible for providing operational pipeline integrity support to capital projects in development, and implementing a formal process of asset integration to operations.
Responsibilities

Conduct initial project feasibility studies, cost estimating, project risk analyses, and conceptual, preliminary and detail design work.

Partners with Operations, Technical Services, and the Project Manager to perform alternative analysis.

Develop project Design Basis Memorandum (DBM) and engineering scope of work.

Provide input to and review of engineering deliverables.

Collaborate and provide engineering support to other team members.

Ensure work is executed and managed in accordance with approved plans, contracts, schedules and budgets.

Collaborate with internal drafting and design team to develop, review, and approve engineering deliverables.

Establish strategic direction around facility and pipeline engineering.

Lead the resolution of technical/engineering issues during detailed engineering, construction and commissioning, including information requests and needs.

Review and approve hydrostatic testing documentation.

Manage the workflow between company and external consultants.

Identify changes and support management of change process to ensure integrity is maintained throughout the design development process.

Identify and document opportunities for improvement as lessons learned throughout the design development process.

Work collaboratively with other project groups to share and implement best practices.

Contribute to the continual improvement of the company’s project management tools and processes.
Pipeline Engineer Mandatory Skills

Project Engineering skills.

Experience in the design of pipelines (FERC experience preferred) and/or the modification of Metering & Regulation (M&R) stations / Pipeline Interconnects including knowledge of:

Experience in the design and execution of Pipeline Integrity (PI) projects (Class Changes, Line Lowering/Forced Relocation, Installation/Modification of Pig Launchers/Receivers, etc.) and other pipeline maintenance and modernization projects.

Leadership skills; ability to create a vision, clearly communicate direction and drive to goal completion.

Applicable industry regulatory experience (working knowledge of federal regulatory knowledge, state regulatory knowledge, and pipeline market knowledge).
